Quiz Nights at de Stafford

Our quizzes are an important part of both our social and fundraising activities.

Challenging, but not too hard, they provide an enjoyable evening out.  At only £9 per head, which includes food, they are excellent value for money.  (You need to provide your own drinks and glasses.)

The food is an outstanding feature of the evening, offering a meal of both hot and cold buffet items.

You can come along as part of a team or turn up on your own and we will find a team for you to join in with.  There is a maximum of 8 people in a team.  Ideally, you want people with a range of ages and interests.  Advance booking is needed because of the catering arrangements involved.

We run a quiz night every month except August and December.

Seven of these are fundraisers for the PSA.  Additionally, one quiz night each year supports four schools and a clinic at Kimilili in Kenya (a link that has continued for at least thirty years); one is held in aid of Caterham Carnival; and one is run in aid of a major (usually national) charity.

Reminders about the quiz nights are issued by email.  If you would like to be added to this mailing list please send your name and email address via this link.

Our quiz nights are usually held on the fourth Friday of each month, unless the school requests otherwise.  The doors open at 7pm for a prompt start at 7-30pm.  We aim to finish by 10-30pm - certainly by 10-45pm.

Six of these raise funds for the school’s Parent-Staff Association (PSA).   Additionally, one quiz night each year supports Kimilili schools in Kenya (a link that has continued for at least 25 years); one is held in aid of a national charity (the Royal Marsden’s unit for child and teenage cancer sufferers last time, Help for Heroes will be next); one is held in aid of Caterham Carnival and one for the Caterham Community Association. These last two also serve to strengthen the school’s links with its local community.
